An Experimental Study on Hypovolemic Shock

Abstract
For investigation on the behavior of the intrarenal circulation under effect of isoproterenol during hypovolernic shock, experimental study in adult healthy rabbits was done by renal microangiographic technique.
The fine renal cortical vascular changes were observed in 3 normal rabbits( control group) and in 5 rabbits during hypovolemic shock(shock group) and in S rabbits under effect of isoproterenol during hypovolemic shock(isoproterenol group).
The results were obtained as follows
1. Characteristics of hypovolenic shock were confirmed as low mean arterial pressure on arterial monitor and increased respiration rate.
2. The findings of renal microangiogram were revealed to the intrarenal vascular system. i.e. renal artery-anterior and posenor branches-interlober artery-arcuate artery-fine vasculature of renal cortex.
3. The renal fingings of microvasculature were summarized as follows.
In control group, the normal fine even vaculature was distributed at superficial and deep renal cortex.
In hypovolemic shock group, the prominent vasoconstriction on superficial cortex was identified as markedly decreased number of the capillary beds of glomenili and intralobular arteries, but the good circulation on deep cortex was identified as the common beds of glomeruli at juxtamediiltary portion.
In isoproterenol group, the improvement of superficial cortical circulation was identified as increased number of intralobular arteries and capillary beds of glomeruli.
